ONENIQ co-founder Gary Hendrickse sees employees as customers and key audiences. As such, ONENIQ’s change management communication programmes are brand-, product-, and marketing driven.
Gary describes how this belief informs ONENIQ’s communication approach.
Brand.
The transformation project is the brand. It deals with gut feelings and perceptions that employees have about the transformation. It is shaped by all interactions and experiences around transformation and adoption, and lives in employee’s minds. It is driven by emotion and is intangible.
Product.
It is tangible. Improved work satisfaction. Career opportunities. Growth and development. Unexpected opportunities. Before you embark on a changement management programme, you need to be clear on the real ‘product’. For employee adoption, it must be what it means to them.
Marketing.
How do you market the brand and product? How do you make sure that messaging reaches the employee audience? How do you ensure that they’re buying what you’re selling? Every credible Change Management programme needs a well-constructed marketing plan.
“Before you design a brand, product and marketing plan, you must be very sure of your audience. As an HR specialist, ONENIQ’s co-founder Reshna Ramgovind conducts thorough market research in our ‘Discovery’ process. Her findings directly inform the construction of the transformation brand, product, and marketing plan”.
